The Dartmouth Entrepreneurs Forum is putting together another event in Sunnyvale to take place on Sept. 2nd. Many DEN BA members attended the first Dartmouth Entrepreneurs Forum event back in March. Make sure to reserve your spot asap! Event details are below:

Dartmouth alums in the Silicon Valley venture capital community are working with DEN Bay Area to plan an exciting event on September 2. The Dartmouth Entrepreneurs Forum will be a unique opportunity for Dartmouth start-ups to present to Dartmouth vc’s in an informal setting designed for feedback, mentoring and networking. Dartmouth alums from Norwest Venture Partners, Trinity Ventures, Bay Partners, Palomar Ventures and other Silicon Valley venture firms will meet with the management teams of selected Dartmouth start-ups in 20 minute sessions to listen to their corporate pitches and offer suggestions regarding corporate strategy, team building and fundraising. Following the sessions, there will be extended networking time over food and drink for the management teams, vc’s and all audience members to connect further.
We are currently looking for start-ups and small companies who are interested to present in the Forum. This opportunity is open to any start-up or small company who has a Dartmouth alum (or student!) as a founder or executive. While we expect many of the interested companies to be local to the Bay Area, we are holding open at least one slot for a Dartmouth company from outside the Bay Area. If you are interested, please send Jeff Crowe ’78 (jcrowe@nvp.com), a partner at Norwest Venture Partners in Palo Alto, a one page executive summary of your company and a presentation deck of no more than 10 slides. Deadline for submission is July 24th. We have presentation slots open for a half dozen companies and are looking for ones with particularly exciting prospects who could benefit the most from the interaction with the vc’s.
Many DEN BA members joined us at the highly successful Dartmouth Entrepreneurs Forum back in March, with nearly 200 Dartmouth alumni in attendance. At that Forum, we had John Donahoe ’82, CEO of eBay, and a panel of successful Dartmouth entrepreneurs and venture capitalists present to the audience. Like the March Forum, this Forum will also take place at Plug and Play Tech Center in Sunnyvale, CA. Plug and Play is home to over 100 Silicon Valley start-ups and is a unique environment for young companies. Also like the March Forum, the September Forum will be open to all Dartmouth alumni and will be free of charge.
